DY-201R Emulsifying Agent

INTRODUCTION

DY-201R emulsion agent is special for DY-201 two dimethyl silicone oil, which can be used for silicone emulsion. It is specially suitable for cosmetics industry.

3. Solid content: ≥95%

APPLICATIONS

1. Specially designed for emulsifying DY-201 to fabricate DY-2011 Silicone Emulsion.

2. The emulsified silicone product can be used in cosmetic products and release agent.

HOW TO USE

1. Recommended formulation (based on 30% concentration):

2. Formulation tips:

(1) Add DY-201 and DY-201R into reactive container equipped with a high shear agitator.

(2) Elevate temperature to 80~85℃. Then add 20% softened water into the system and agitate with high shear for 30 minutes.

(3) Add the left 47.48% softened water at 40℃ into the system within 10 minutes while keep high uniform speed stirring of the system. Stop heating prior to adding the water. Keep high shear agitating of the system until it reaches room temperature.

Colloid mill can be used in the application process. First, fabricate crude emulsion in pre-mixing container equipped with normal speed agitator following above procedures. Then use colloid mill to grind the crude emulsion for 2 to 3 times to obtain the final emulsion.

STORAGE

Store at room temperature in original, unopened containers.
